About Salam 25

What if…
What if you had to bring peace to the Israel-Palestine region.
I don’t mean, you “want” to bring peace.
I mean, you truly have to. You simply must think of a way, regardless of the obstacles.
Your constraints…
You have no control or influence among Palestinians.
You have no control or influence among Israeli Jews or Arab citizens of Israel.
You have enormous influence in America and other Western countries.
And you must find a way to bring permanent peace,
as quickly as possible… let’s say two years or less—
not just an end to the current fighting but a permanent end to hostilities between all political and military groups in the area.
And you must do it without inflicting significant harm or setting up a “house of cards” that will implode on some part of the population in the future.
What would you do?
If your smart, the first thing you'll do is study and start asking questions. Odds are, you don’t know enough about the conflict to come up with a good strategy. Nor did a question like this ever occur to you because you assumed that such a positive outcome is not attainable, at least not in the next couple of years.
At one point that was our assumption, too. It was an assumption that put us in disagreement with just about every wise and well-studied person in the world who understands the history of modern Israel. But we did not know that…
…because we'd never really looked into it. And neither did you, until now.
"The tough mind is sharp and penetrating, breaking through the crust of legends and myths and sifting the true from the false. The tough-minded individual is astute and discerning. [...] Rarely do we find men who willingly engage in hard, solid thinking. There is an almost universal quest for easy answers and half-baked solutions. Nothing pains some people more than having to think." —MLK Jr.
Who we are
We are a small team of individuals committed to facilitating a permanent peace between the governments and groups who wield power in the Israel-Palestine region and the people, families, and communities who inhabit it.
We are NOT republicans or democrats. We have no lobby or private jet, and we don't care who you vote for.
We are NOT conspiracy theorists. We are not college kids or peaceniks.
We ARE educators, mentors, coaches, and business leaders.
We do NOT indoctrinate people, and we don’t get upset when we “lose” an argument. In fact, we rarely have arguments because we care more about understanding than proving ourselves “right”.
We are NOT a "pro" group (pro-Israel, pro-Palestine, pro-whatever). Or, if you prefer, we ARE a "pro" group— one that advocates for individuals and communities rather than governments and tribes (pro-Arab, pro-Jewish, pro-Christian, pro-human).
We do NOT endorse a particular political solution (one state, two state, red state, blue state... pardon the Dr. Seuss allusion).
And we ARE crazy enough to believe that there is nothing that should prevent a permanent peace being achieved or well-begun in Palestine by the end of calendar year 2025.
Our mission
From our study and observation of the Israel-Palestine conflict, past and present, we have determined that the power to bring peace in the region mostly resides on the other side of the world— in the United States. Especially, in the Christian communities of the United States.
We will not explain that opinion here. And we do not expect you to take our word for it. We hope you will look into it for yourself…
“It’s not the person who challenges your beliefs that you should suspect, but the person who tells you what to believe or makes you feel comfortable continuing to see the world as you have always done.” —Salam 2025
This is our mission— to educate America, especially American Christians, about the history and nature of the Israel-Palestine conflict. Not an education about politics, theology, eschatology, or with some hidden agenda but an education about real people and real events in a real place. A story about Jews and “gentiles”, many of whom want peace, justice, and a better life,
…and they need a little help getting there.
We write articles, speak to groups, educate leaders, and do other such things. We do not expect our audience to adopt the exact viewpoints held by us. But we do expect our audience to be curious, 100% honest, and mature enough to consider unfamiliar information and other points of view… because that’s the way we are.
We hope you will join us on this journey.
And be warned— positive changes are in inevitable for you personally any time you embark on a journey of discovery like this one. The tendency toward curiosity and critical thinking, once encouraged in one area of life, often spreads and benefits other areas of life as well.
